Action for Neighbourhood Change (ANC) in Kingston-Galloway/Orton Park (KGO) is working with residents to create a stronger more vibrant community. This is your chance to get involved – call us and find out how!

We are a United Way funded initiative that offers residents:

  • A free space for community meetings and events
  • Community organizing expertise
  • Opportunities to get involved and to meet others who want to be involved

WHAT IS “THE POINT”

An exciting and important community space nicknamed “The Point” has opened in the Scarborough-Guildwood riding. The Point, located at 4117 Lawrence Avenue East, Unit 100A, is dedicated to supporting resident ideas for community change in the Kingston-Galloway/Orton Park neighbourhood. It is home to the offices of Action for Neighbourhood Change (ANC), Residents Rising and the City Studies program of the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus.

WHAT WILL ANC DO?

  • Talk and listen to residents about how they feel about the community and share the results
  • Help residents to organize their ideas for a better community and work with them to turn those ideas into a reality
  • Connect residents to decision makers and the amazing things that are already going on in KGO

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

There is a great richness of ways for residents to get involved in their KGO community. A few are listed here, but call us to find out about the many other opportunities.

  • Share your thoughts with your neighbours at a Community Speaks
  • Participate in the Community Garden or join residents at the Festival Market
  • Start your own group or project
  • Call us for more great ideas
