What Has Toronto Done for KGO?

Danzig Street, the scene of the July 16 shooting that left 22 injured and two dead, is in Kingston-Galloway—one of the neighbourhoods designated a “priority” one since 2005. The designation, which grew out of a 2004 report from the United Way called “Poverty by Postal Code”, was intended to put Kingston-Galloway and 12 other neighbourhoods at the front of the line for city infrastructure and social program spending. It was meant to address the concentrations of poverty in those areas.
So in seven years, what has the “priority” designation contributed to the Kingston-Galloway neighbourhood?
