Since The Storefront’s founding in 2001, the number, breadth and scope of programs, services, grassroots initiatives and networks has grown significantly. The KGO eco-system holds a complex array of people working together on a variety of initiatives, all designed to improve the wellbeing of people in the community. In 2018, The Storefront, with the support of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development, Ontario Trillium Foundation and Infrastructure Ontario, undertook to consult with the community to identify community assets as well as perceived deficits. The results of the community consultations are captured in our 2018 Community Asset Mapping document.
